24-year-old boy jailed for ass@ulting his 45-year-old sugar mummy after finding her in bed with his friend

Tonderai Mupindu, 24, was given a 12-month prison sentence for abusing his 45-year-old girlfriend, Anna Fadzai Katoma, after falsely accusing her of being unfaithful.

September 3, 2024, saw the incident take place in Mvuma, Zimbabwe, when Mupindu found Katoma in bed with his friend Vitalis Masamha.

When Mupindu arrived at Katoma’s house early that morning, she discovered the two were sharing a blanket, according to court documents that the Masvingo Mirror was able to get. Startled by what he saw, he walked away without making a move. Later on in the evening, he decided to approach Katoma and Masamha after noticing them sitting together outside Penny Beer Hall at Munzhaku Business Centre.

They returned to Mupindu’s house after she asked Katoma to have a private talk. He questioned her about the supposed affair at this discussion, but she denied any wrongdoing. Mupindu attacked Katoma out of rage, causing apparent wounds like a swollen face and bruises around her left eye and ear.

Katoma reported the event to the police after the assault, which resulted in Mupindu’s apprehension. After being charged, he appeared before Magistrate Constance Mutandwa, who imposed the one-year punishment.

Following the previous discovery, the prosecution, lead by Simbarashe Hwacha, revealed that Mupindu’s acts were motivated by suspicions of infidelity and jealousy.
